Related Families of Wales and England

In this section, the relationships between several important families of Wales and England are established, and those families are linked to the early colonization of America, and especially to Virginia and the Carolinas. The focus is on those families that are often found with the Goodmans of Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky. These families intermarried often, throughout several generations. As a result, it is difficult to separate them into distinct family groups for this discussion. And, as a result, the complexity of all of the inter-relationships can be quite confusing. The intent is to establish that the relationships and proximity of these families in America, were begun in Wales and England, and that these families often constituted extended kin relationships, that continued for over two hundred years, until the westward Diaspora throughout America began to break them up.
