Goodmans in Other Tennessee Counties
Henry Goodman born 18 Dec 1758, and listed his age as 75
in 1832. He served on the SC line, and drew a pension in Anderson County, TN,
until his death on 11 June 1833. He was probably the Lt Henry Goodman, 4th NC,
who was also at the Eutaw Springs battle. In an index to articles and notices in
"The Knoxville Register", for the issue dated 16 Jan 1821, was a
foreclosure notice by the Anderson County, TN Court, for lands of James
Massengill on the New River, and adjoined by the lands of Jacob Shopman, Jacob
Goodman, Henry Goodman, John Goodman, and Darcy Carroll, lien by Wm. Massengill
and Joseph Stout, to be sold next 26 Feb 1821. The Henry Goodman of this record
was certainly the one mentioned previously, that died in Anderson Co. in 1833,
and Jacob and John Goodman are probably his sons. Many other Goodmans were in
Anderson Co., TN.
